3. Cool, then refrigerate.

1 cup sugar • ¼ cup water • 6 tbsp butter • ½ cup cream • 1 tsp vanilla • pinch salt
Instructions:
1. Heat sugar and water without stirring until clear and bubbling.
2. Let it cook to a deep amber, then whisk in butter.
3. Remove from heat, slowly add cream, then vanilla and salt.
4. Cool briefly, jar it, and chill.
5. Use as a dip, drizzle, or chewy topping.

3 cups diced strawberries • 1 cup sugar • 2 tbsp lemon juice • ¼ tsp vanilla
Instructions:
1. Simmer everything until berries soften and the mixture reduces by about half, roughly 15 minutes.
2. Add water if you want it thinner.
3. Strain for smoothness or keep it chunky.
4. Refrigerate and serve on pancakes, yogurt, milk, or sandwiches.
